Vessel Youth at First Baptist Matthews exists to reach the world for Jesus Christ by making disciples who reach UP to God, IN to the church, and OUT to the world by preparing middle school and high school students to be a Vessel for Christ, uniquely crafted for every situation in which the Lord places them.

Sunday Morning is structured by grade and is an excellent opportunity for students to reach into the church through an in-depth Bible Study on Sunday mornings from 9-10:15am in the Student Worship Center. Each group is structured according to their grade, and are led by teachers who love mentoring, challenging and helping students build a strong biblical based foundation.

CREW groups are for students wanting to grow in faith, love, and community through fellowship and discipleship. Groups meet in homes and are led by two Vessel adult leaders. Join a CREW Today!

Vessel Nights take place on Wednesday night from 5:30-7:30pm. Vessel nights are a fun and safe place for middle school and high school students. At Vessel nights students will be encouraged to grow in their faith, learn how to share the love of Jesus in their sphere of influence, build healthy relationships, and engage friends no matter where they’re at in their walk. On Wednesday nights, we open the student building at 5:30pm for students to hang out, eat food, form new relationships, and play games. The night will kick off at 6pm with worship and a teaching of God’s Word, and then break out into groups to discuss how students can apply what they heard to their life.
