NC Baptist Men Disaster Relief
North Carolina Baptist are working to assist in Haiti following the devastating earthquake there. They have several partners who are in Haiti and we are checking with them concerning the best ways for us to minister there both immediately and long term. Decisions are being made right now concerning the best ways for us to help in Haiti. There will be a need for many volunteers in the near future. Southern Baptist Disaster Relief
Southern Baptist are mobilizing to access disaster relief needs. The assessment team is being organized by Baptist Global Response, IMB, NAMB and state convention disaster relief directors to enter the country ASAP. They will work with Haitian Baptists to identify immediate needs that must be addressed and will draft mid and long term plans for ongoing relief efforts.
Initial funding for the relief effort will be provided by the International Mission Board's disaster relief fund. You can contribute to the disaster response effort online at Baptist Global Response.
Samaritain's Purse
Samaritan's Purse dispatched a team just hours after the quake to help with water, shelter, medical care, and other emergercy needs. They said they would focus on the medical help, shelter, clean water, and hygiene supplies.
