This is our highest attended time and inherently creates the greatest opportunity for the youth to serve God and their peers through a variety of ways. During this hour, our entire youth body will come together for a time of student lead worship, drama sketches, special event promotion, video presentations and street interviews. This gathering will also include a “Youth Talk” by the Youth Pastor or other special guest while a pair of student emcees serves as the weekly hosts. Every one of these students has gifts, talents and abilities that shouldn’t be shelved until they are adults. Vertical provides them with these tangible opportunities as we all gather together to connect vertically with God.
Sunday night Intersect from 5:00pm-7:00pm starting in the Youth Activity Center:
Rather than having our youth meet in small groups on Sunday mornings, we will be having our small groups in the evenings. This creates a much more conducive time to build relationships and connect with each other so that we can honestly discuss points where faith and life Intersect. These groups serve as the main catalyst for our leaders to “make disciples” as we personally engage each student. Although the guys and girls are normally separated for their main study time on Sunday night, these groups will be joining within their age groups for quarterly social activities and local ministry projects.

Wednesday night Ministry Squads from: 6:00pm-7:30pm:
In a nutshell, this is where we develop and sharpen individual gifts and talents among students based upon their interests. This creates a strong sense of ownership as they take on regular responsibilities within the ministry and in service to each other. The first 30 minutes (6:00 – 6:30 pm) will be used for some type of group game/activity/icebreaker before breaking up into Squads. Each squad will have an hour of uninterrupted time to work on their specific ministry area.
